Physical Science A

Bellwork
    1.  What is the weight of an 880 N object?
   
    2.  How much pressure is being exerted by a 400 N object that has an area of contact of .8m2?

    3.  What is the acceleration of an object that takes off from a stop sign and accelerates to a velocity fo 45     m/s in a time of 9 seconds?

    4.  What force is required to accelerate a 400 kg object at a rate of 10 m/s2?

Objectives:
    -Review all the concepts discussed in class.

Go over the homework.  Check and discuss.

Practice Test.  Focus on good test taking skills, reading carefully, and relaxing.

Go over the answers for the practice test.

When finished, study for the test.

Bellwork:
    1.  What are the benefits for Amercan's switching their dependence upon foreign oil, to a product that may     be produced domestically?  What are a few possible drawbacks?

    2.  List as many possible renewable resources that you can think of.  When you are finished, compare your     list with your partners.

Let's take a look at your BioDiesel. 

Discuss what we did.

Finish our discussion of alternative fuel sources for automobiles.

Please read chapter 9, sections 2 and 3.  Do the questions on pages 263 and 270.


HW: Finish the book problems. Wrap-up you projects.  At this point you should have a majority of you project done.  Remember that you are handing in your projects and presenting on Wed.!
