Bellwork:
    1.  Working with you partner, I would like you to discuss the topics of:
                a.  Reflection
                b.  Refraction
                c.  Interference
                d.  diffraction
        -for each concept, describe what happens with the waves, provide 2 examples for each and             make one "quiz" questions for each of the topics.

    2.  Explain the concept of resonance. 

    3.  How do sonar and ultrasounds work?

    4.  What is the doppler effect?

    5.  Why and how does the can and string phone work?

    6.  What happens to the amplitude of a wave as it covers a larger area

Check and discuss section one review questions.

HW:  Complete the online activity.  Follow each step as directed.  Use your knowledge of waves and sound to answer each of the questions.

Physical Science B

Bellwork:
    1.  What are the factors that would lead to a decrease in the population of a species?

    2.  What are the factors that would lead to the exponential growth of a population?

    3.  What is the carrying capacity?  How does it affect the rate of population growth?

Objectives:
1.  Be able to identify the factors that affect the growth in a population.

Discuss density dependent and independent factors.

HW:  Finish the ecology packet.  Tomorrow we will go over all the material from unit two and three.  I will have a practice test and also a final exam review.  We will begin reviewing all the material for the exam tomorrow, Friday, and Monday.
