Physical Science A(Wed.)

Bellwork:
    1.  Explain what must take place in order for an object to accelerate.

    2.  If an object is traveling at 55 m/s and comes to a stop in a time of 11 seconds, what is the acceleration of          the object?

Objectives:
Be able to calculate the acceleration of an object given the change in velocity and time.

Describe the motion of an object given a velocity vs. time graph.

Go over the acceleration extra problems.  Discuss any difficult problems.

Quiz: Acceleration

Acceleration Lab

HW:  Finish the Acceleration Lab.  Make sure you have read chapter 2, section 3 and do the questions on page 56.  Secondly, read chapter 3, section 1and do the questions on page 69 and 74.

Physical Science B

Bellwork:
    1.  What are some examples of safety devices found within a home?  How do they work?

    2.  How do we measure the rate that electrical energy does work?  What are the units?

Objectives:
    1.  Be able to identify what electric power is and how much everyday items use.

    2.  Understand the effect of electricity on the human body.

Today, discuss the home energy audit.  Make sure that everyone know what to do and how to accomplish this.

Discuss light bulbs and the physiological effect electricity has on the human body.

Today, make sure that you have found the items that you are tracking at home.  Find the wattages for the use and leaking power.  Keep track of usage!

Power problems.  Hand-out and go over.  Do an example on the board.

HW: Continue tracking the items at home.  Just keep track of hours on the spread sheet.  Secondly, finish the power problems.
