Physical Science B(Wed.)

Bellwork:
    1.  Pick up a pyramid and explain.

    2.  Share with your table mate what your ideas were and compare.

Check and go over the homework.

Quick quiz

Discuss the water cycle.

Cycle Group activity. You will work in groups of three.  Each person will research one of the chemical cycles.  Once you have finished the research, you will make a poster (hand-out on computer paper)that represents the cycle and describes the processes involved within.

HW:  Each group will work on their three posters(8.5 x 11).  I will give some time to work on tomorrow but they will be collected at the end of the hour.

Plan on our next test on Tuesday next week.

Physics B

Bellwork:
    1.  What do we call the two parts to a shadow?  Why does this form?

    2.  What is polarization?  How does this work?

Discuss the formation of shadows and light intensity.

Light intensity lab.

Goal is to analyze how the intensity of light varies with distance.  You will use the optical bench setup to determine a mathematical model to relate how the intensity and distance relate.

HW:  Finish the light intensity lab and answer the questions.

Tomorrow we will wrap-up all the big concepts, go over the math formulas and examples, and lastly get you prepared to take the last test in this class.
